GipsVision in Shanghai:

"Training course at Johnson Controls Shanghai"

New users trained on Pixy and Graduel

Gips Vision trained in Septembre 2010 the test engineering team at Johnson Controls Shanghai on inspection tools Pixy and Graduel targeting test of dashboards clusters and displays.

After Reynosa plant in Mexico in Year 2009, then Gravatai in Brazil in january 2010, Johnson Controls plant in Shanghai has recently decided to train its test engineering team on GipsVision solutions. During more than a week, several engineers alternately had presentations and praticising in labs or on line.

Johnson Controls is producing LCD Displays an dashboard clusters for automotive industry. This growing activity in China requires always improving quality level, involving digital imaging testings.
Therefore GipsVision reinforces the spreading of its tools Pixy and Graduel, which just celebrated their 10 Years anniversary last December. GipsVision also reaffirms its presence on the field, close to the needs, and a reliable support to its users worlwide.

June 1st, 2nd & 3rd in Paris

Professional show MesureExpoVision 2010 in Paris, Porte de Versailles gathered on June 1st, 2nd & 3rd 2010 many professionals in Measurement and Machine Vision.

The SYMOP's Vision Group welcomed on his booth professionals and visitors, and offered several conferences about various technologies in machine vision domain: high-speed video, smart cameras, lightings, Linescan cameras, neural networks... For instance GipsVision has presented a polyvalent integrated vision system, based on smart cameras BOA by Dalsa, distributed in Europe by stemmer imaging

GipsVision finishes 2009 in a brilliant manner!

Pixy celebrating its 10th anniversary !

Over 150 deployed licenses !

Designed for automotive dashboards testing, this software module by Gips has been integrated into several new applications, like TFT display inspection, and commissioned on new sites like Johnson Controls plant in Mexico.
Some evolutions have been brought this Year to Pixy, especiallay high dynamic image support (16 bits per channel digitizing) so the product is ready to work with best cameras on the market.

Image processing library Gips, on which Pixy is based, has passed this year 200 licenses sold. Jauge & Pointer inspection module, Graduel , is now passing 100 licenses sold. A new release of these tools is expected within next semester.

Frédéric Equoy gives a talk on 16 bits image processing in machine vision

At Vision Show on 6-8 oct.2009 in Paris, GipsVision takes part to the conference round organized by the SYMOP (French association for manufacturing technologies).
Frédéric Equoy is introducing a new approach to 16 bits image processing for industrial applications.
This presentation has been supported by Stemmer Imaging and Johnson Controls Automotive Experience.

Frédéric Equoy is starting GipsVision

On april 2009 Frédéric Equoy leaves the company Cybernétix and creates a new company, GipsVision, dedicated to consulting and services in machine vision and digital imaging. After seven years spent in the robotic company based in Marseille, south of France, as machine vision manager, F. Equoy is now devoting himself particularly to the vision product « Pixy » and « Graduel », designed to inspection of automotive dahsboards, lcd displays, etc... These software modules have been previously developped and marketed in 1999 whitin the department "Technosoft" at the company Imasys, now Stemmer Imaging. These softwaremodules are based on image processing suite Gips, created in middle 90s by company EIA.
